At City Gate Church, our City Sprouts (birth through 4 years old) and City Kids (kindergarten through 6th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way. Come, join us! Find our church here.

Here's what to expect when visiting City Spouts or City Kids for the first time:

We're a small church family right now, so we get to know names and needs pretty quickly. At this time, we don't need to use any fancy check-in apps or systems. We're keeping things simple!

When you and your child visit us for the first time, we'll ask for a few details:

• Your name (parent/guardian)
• Your child's name
• Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child

Before Service:

• We like to keep everyone together at first, so feel free to hang out in the sanctuary, grab a snack and sip a beverage while we all get settled.
• After worship, it’s time for the kids (Kindergarten through 6th grade) to head to their class! You can either send them off with our leaders or escort them yourself.
• Babies and toddlers are welcome to hang out in the nursery for the entire service. One of our friendly leaders will check in with you to see if you want your little one in the nursery, give you a quick tour, and make sure you’re all set. If your baby decides they want to stay with you, no problem at all—we’re a family-friendly church and love hearing those adorable baby coos!

During Service:

If something comes up and we need to get in touch with you, we’ll usually send one of our volunteers (in stealth mode) to find you.

After Service:

Time to pick up your child from their classroom! If you’re caught up in an epic conversation or soaking up some prayer time, don’t sweat it. Our leaders will hang tight or even bring your little one to you if needed.

Your Child’s Safety is Our Top Priority!

We take keeping our kids safe seriously. All our teachers, helpers, and volunteers get thorough background checks. We make sure every classroom has helpers on hand, so no child is ever left alone. And we keep things safe and secure on trips to the bathroom.

We also have a dedicated security person around throughout the service, keeping an eye on everything. Only approved volunteers get access to the kids’ area (unless a parent needs to step in). You can rest assured knowing we’re fully committed to providing a protected and caring environment for your child.

Tanya is adored by all the babies... and by us, too! Her caring and nurturing heart makes every child feel safe and comfy. She's been a gem at City Gate Church for many years. We’re so blessed to have her leading our amazing nursery team. They're all incredible. Wyatt, age 3, is always asking his mom, "We see Tanya today?" We believe that's a really good thing, even if mom says it's "Every. Single. Day." - Cynthia (sometimes tired mom of three).

If your kids are in City Kids, they’ll get to know Mr. Mark. He’s a pro at storytelling, games, and making everything super fun and creative. He brings the Bible to life and is excellent at patiently answering all the kids’ questions. Mark has been such a valuable and essential part of City Gate Church for many years. Working with kids and serving God's church is his calling and passion. As one of our young ones, Theo (age 6), put it, “Mr. Mark is my best friend!” We couldn’t agree more. It’s the best endorsement we could ask for!
